Mediterranean serenity in the heart of Bandra
Tipple of choice: Liquor license dramas have forced the owners to serve wine only. Fortunately, the wine list is fabulous.
Word to the wise: Portion sizes are known to be on the small size here, so if you're hungry, order that extra appetiser you've been eyeing on the menu.
The Pali Village Cafe is a charmingly rustic restaurant complete with peeling paint, heritage-tiled floors and Spanish guitar music playing quietly in the background. Completed by lush, green plants, it's the perfect place to quaff fine wines and tuck into gourmet pizzas (try the fig and pepperoni) and hearty Greek-style salads.
Housed next to Bandra's cult bar Janata, the 60s-style restaurant has an air-conditioned seating area indoors and another alfresco space that beckons diners on cooler evenings.
