The most prominent and most well-run of Montréal's museums, the Museum of Fine Arts has perfected the art of appealing to both art lovers and the general masses. Aside from its large permanent exhibition ranging from Greek antiquities to modern installations, the museum is well-known for staging popular big-name exhibitions like China's Terracotta Army and The Fashion World of Jean-Paul Gaultier.
Serious art-lovers are not neglected, however, as the museum also boasts dedicated exhibitions to artists such as Otto Dix and J.W. Waterhouse.
