Tradition reigns supreme at this French bistro
Word to the wise: It's easy to miss this restaurant at night, as it has no proper signage. Look out for "L'Express" spelled out on the tiled entryway.
L'Express offers a classic Parisian bistro experience: the black and white tiles, the apron-wearing waiters and a well-balanced menu offering delicate and heartier items. While the look may be formal, service is fast and friendly, with servers happy to explain the menu and recommend options.
Duck rilette, steak tartare and quail are great choices here, although more adventurous foodies may like to try the bone marrow. Do note that while the bar here is well-stocked, there are no cocktail options so it's best to stick to wines and aperitifs.
