Luxurious Latin-inspired comfort food

Word to the wise: All dishes come in full or half size depending on your propensity to share. Similarly, wine is served by half bottles too.

Talk of the town: Chef Michelle Bernstein is the darling of the Miami culinary scene and often makes appearances on national programs like 'The Today Show'.

Popular plate: The short ribs remain a menu staple.

This 50-seater bistro from husband and wife team David Martinez and Michelle Bernstein was one of the first restaurants to bring the Biscayne Corridor to life, and remains fully-booked most nights. First and foremost, it's thanks to the ever-changing, made-for-sharing menu packed with seasonal ingredients and local produce.

Small and delightful with a twist seems to be their motto, and every dish is dressed-up with something fancy, such as the jamon serrano and blue cheese croquetas served with fig marmalade. Similarly, the design mixes touches of the home kitchen in the shared family tables and comfy cushions with contemporary bursts of colour and whimsical chandeliers, keeping it firmly fashionable.
