Krakow's busiest shopping street
Noteworthy for: Celebrated 19th century painter Jan Matejko lived at number 41, now a museum dedicated to his life and work.
Stretching from St Florian's Gate at the northern end of the Old Town to St Mary's Basilica in the main square, Floriańska has been Krakow's most important street since the middle ages.
Heaving throughout the day and into the night, Floriańska's main offering is souvenirs (head off the main street into the courtyards and corridors for bargains) but there's also a good range of jewellery and clothing. Locals come here for big Polish fashion brands such as Reserved and Vera Moda, and for classic footwear from Ryłko.
