Soothing waters and summer breeze at Saltholmen
Word to the wise: Forget the car as parking spaces at this popular rocky beach are hard to find. Fortunately it is well connected to the city by regular tram and bus services. Take tram line 11 or 9 (summer only) or bus 114 or 191 (not during summer).
Soak up the Swedish summer sun and take a refreshing plunge into the cool waters. Many parts of the beach are secluded as they are hidden by large rocks, offering you a peaceful oasis away from the crowds. The sea is typically calm and suitable for paddling and bathing.
If you dare to bare, Saltholmen Kallbadhus is a nude beach and bath with separate areas for men and women, as well as a mixed zone.
Saltholmen is also a jumping off point for the southern archipelago. The rocky islands are a haven for walkers and nature lovers and they are only a few minutes away by regular ferry service.
