Take a culinary wander through Scotland and beyond
Tipple of choice: Without a single doubt, their expertly muddled Mojito is the best in the city, if not the country.
Popular plate: It doesn’t get better, or more Scottish, than Stravaigin’s award winning haggis, mashed neeps and champit tatties.
Firmly contradicting the assumption that most Scottish food is based on a dare, Stravaigin has been keeping Glasgow’s bourgeois west-enders in stylish yet traditional fare for many a year now.
The restaurant's 'think global, eat local' attitude to dining results in locally sourced produce being led astray and given an exotic twist, proving that a seasonal Scottish fish is just as at home in a fish supper as it is in the fennel and fregola-laden Ligurian stew.
A recent refurbishment and upstairs expansion has created even more casual dining space in the cafe bar but for a more formal affair, the downstairs restaurant serves the same exceptional menu in a more intimate environment.
