Frites in a cone - the cheapest and tastiest snack in Brussels

Word to the wise: Rather than eat your frites on a park bench, take them to one of the bars on the square and enjoy them with a beer - just check the window for a 'happy cone' logo.

Belgians take their frites very seriously and Maison Antoine offers some of the best in Brussels. Expect to see a long queue at the kiosk in the centre of Place Jourdan but don't let that put you off - the double-cooked frites are well worth the wait.

Choose between a small or large cone and then decide which of the 27 sauces to accompany them. Flavours include curry sauce, samurai sauce, and the traditional favorite, mayonnaise.
