Relaxed and informal haunt popular with local musicans and artists

Word to the wise: The menu changes frequently, so check the website or give the restaurant a call before you go to check what's on offer.

Popular plate: The ribeye steak with mushroom sauce is understandably a house favourite in this cow-themed restaurant.

Café de Koe, which means 'Cow Cafe', lives up to its name in a big way with a plethora of bovine-inspired decor, from the cow silhouette signs to the abstract cow mosaics. It's a fun place, enhanced by the artistic clientele who convene in the basement restaurant for animated suppers before heading upstairs to sing a few songs in the unpretentious bar.

The restaurant offers a small and tasty menu, with dishes like gnocchi with pumpkin, yellow beets and arugula, and ostrich steak with truffle sabayon, while the pool table and dartboard in the bar make it the ideal place for a lazy nightcap.
