The Greenwich Hotel,
New York City, USA

When Robert De Niro decided to build a hotel on the vacant lot adjacent to his office, he sought to curb the spread of sleek glassy towers to create something that mimicked the robust architecture of Manhattan’s Upper West Side, with its large windows and lavish details. As a result, the Greenwich Hotel is the most stunningly integrated building to emerge in the area in recent years. The hotel features 88 rooms and suites, of which no two are exactly alike, and the bathrooms are laid out with Carrera marble or Moroccan tile. Furnishings draw from a wide range of cultural influences, from hand-loomed Tibetan silk rugs to English leather settees.

Claska
Tokyo, Japan

Some may consider Claska as more of an ’Inn’ rather than a ’Hotel’. Perhaps, it is the warmth and welcoming atmosphere of Claska’s service, not common in most single-function hotels. Their concierge, who has the latest information on current cultural affairs, looks forward to being at your service. The Japanese-style furniture of Claska gives visitors a sense of being invited to a friend's home, and the carefully selected antiques and interior elements from various parts of Asia help to create a mood that is relaxed and intimate, yet still unique and creative.
