Team Brussels
Sofia Runn
Local Expert
Sofia has spent the past ten years enjoying Brussels. She describes the city as sometimes difficult due to its division into 19 municipalities, but at the same time exciting, because each of these municipalities has its own atmosphere and subcultures. Her current favourite is Matonge, Ixelles/Elsene, a very international and vibrant part of the capital, where Sofia's ideal Sunday walk would be along Avenue Louise towards Morollen and Place Jeu de Balle.
Emily Jane Buckley
Writer
With Brussels being under two hours via the Eurostar from her base in the
UK, Emily often visits the diverse and endearingly eccentric city. Close
friends who have set up home in the Belgian city continue to share with
her their favourite bars, restaurants, sights, and cultural and
historic gems and, although its small size means that the main sights
can be seen in a weekend, there is always something new to see or do.
When she’s not eating and drinking the finest food and drink that
Brussels has to offer (all in the name of research of course), Emily is a
freelance writer and journalist specializing in travel and beauty.
